Rear Headrests Stuck

The rear seat headrests used to remove easily when folding down the rear seats. First one, then a few days later the second headrest are now stuck fast. They won't budge at all. Any idea how to get these out without damaging them? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Why do you need to remove them to fold the seats? The GE headrests go all the way down into the seat so they are out of the way. There's a little spring tab on the side of one of the posts you can push in to lower them, but otherwise, I don't know of anything that would make them stick.

I must have an earlier model of Fit. It's an 08, but to fold down the rear seats you have to remove the headrests, by pulling them out of the seat.

Our seats fold down w/o removing these. Slide the front seats forward then lay the seats down.

Well I feel stupid. The rear headrests have a release button. They were pushed down all the way and I couldn't see it until I felt around under them. Once you push the release button, the headrests (are you ready?) come right out. I owe you guys 20 pushups for this one :^) Thanks to everyone who responded.

Only 20? Ok but with one hand.

I tore my map pocket on passenger side in first week as the HR caught it. Dealer replaced under wty. Now with Clazzios I do not have that problem.

i have to agree the 08's folding seats + having to have to remove headrests was a stupid idea.
