Removable rear headrests

Can anyone confirm if the rear headrests in the US Fit are removable?

Yes - they are definitely removable. But you won't need to remove them to switch configuration modes. The deal I test drove the Fit at demonstrated all the seating modes without removing a single headrest.

So far I roll around with the rear seats flat all the time. Makes the car feel bigger.

And yes, to re-confirm, you can remove the rear headrests, and no, you don't HAVE to remove them to fold them flat. However, if they are flat and you slide the front seats all the way back, the rear seats won't go back up because the headrests will get stuck on the bottom of the front seats.

actually for the refresh mode, you technically should remove the headrest for the front seat

Well it is good to hear that you do not need to remove them to use the seats in all of it's different forms
