Smile Tire time!

I am drive across the country yearly for hiking trips.... So I eat up a lot of highway miles.
I have 43K on the original tires and they are down to the wear bars. Local tires companies in my small town have the following tires I am considering. These are 205/50/16 sized tires in my under $600 installed price range:

Walmart has the exclusive to walmart Goodyear Eagle Authority.
Ford recommended the Yokohama Avid Envigor.
Local garages have the Goodyear Eagle GT, Continental DWS Extreme, and Uniroyal tiger paw touring.

TOO MANY CHOICES!

Thanks for any recommendations or reviews??

Ive used and sold 3 of the tires listed. Its simple.

If you live where you get snow or a lot of rain, get the DWSs.

If you live somewhere more dry, get the Envigors.

I got the Eagle GT A/S nice ride but a heavy tire, I'd look for the lighter weight tires for MPG and performance. .

I just posted at length in a winter thread but my first impressions of a 195/55-16 are that they ride way better than the 185/55-16 stock. I would go with those over the 205/50-16's which while a bit wider still (I assume you won't be driving in snow) are still going to trasmit a lot of the road to you. I was shocked how much smoother a ride I just had home (30 miles) on studded 195/55s. YMMV of course.
