NSX owner who just bought a Fit

Just wanted to introduce myself here, as I just picked up a new silver '12 Fit Sport on Wednesday to replace my everyday driver (an '08 Mini Cooper S). I loved the Mini as a daily driver, but I had a lot of concerns over reliability issues once it goes out of warranty in a few months (BTW, Mini is rated last in J.D. Power's reliability studies). That and the fact that the National Highway Safety Transportation Association just started an investigation a few days ago as to '07 and '08 Cooper S's spontaneously catching fire. Not good news in the Mini community.

I am a real car enthusiast, and have a Formula Red '91 NSX that I bought back in 1996, a Pearl White hardtop '95 Supra, and an Estoril Blue '99 BMW M3 Convertible that are my weekend toys. The Fit will be my daily driver, and one that my wife will occasionally drive in to work when it snows (not that often here in Nashville).

I'm looking forward to posting here, and learning more about the Fit from you guys.

No pics of the Fit yet, but here's a picture of my NSX. It's a '91 with 36,500 miles and it has the following upgrades: 17/18 staggered Enkei PF01 wheels, Taitec GT Lightweight exhaust and it's lowered 1" on Bilstein shocks.

Welcome to the Fit community! I am also a new (as evidenced by my name) and have found that people on this forum are pretty chill. I also came from the rwd camp (last car was a 350z) but am finding myself loving the fit. Its a peppy little spitf**k. How do you like it as a dd?

Congrat's with the new car purchase. We bought the Fit for my wife, but I find myself driving it as much as she does. It is intoxicating in the mountains. It's the least powerful car I've ever owned, but still one of my favorites. Heck...it actually has less power than any motorcycle I've owned!

My Mom now has a 2011 and friends bought a 2010 all because of our Fit!

Welcome, gorgeous NSX! One of the all-time greats you've got there. You know its good when the designer of the McLaren F1 acknowledges that the NSX was the main inspiration behind the F1....

You're going to like the Fit!

I went from a rwd 300ZX, and I like the Fit more. I realize how much the weight of that car hampered it.

Thanks for all the welcoming words, as well as compliments on my NSX.

Even though I just rolled 100 miles on the Fit last night, I believe I'm really going to like it. Am scheduled to have the windows tinted next week, which I do to all my cars.

I'll take a few pictures of the Fit later today and post them.

Glad to be here.

nice nsx! wow, MINI still has problems with spontaneous fires? that was a concern back in the first year 2002's that hit the US. sucks.

thanks for this info as i will be scratching out MINI in my future to buy. i use to own a 03 cooper-s. was a great car, a/c stopped working and dealer could not fix even after 4tries. they suck as dd. i just could not trust the car.

Whoa! With a stable like yours, yeah I'd say you are! More like black ice there than snow... lived in Memphis a while back... Very nice NSX!!! Welcome aboard!

Here's a few pictures of the new car...one next to my Supra and one next to my M3.

Drove the Fit on some errands today, and am liking it more and more. Still wish it had the hp and torque of the Cooper S I traded in.

My car already has a driver's seat armrest (maybe the '12's come standard with them?) and I'm having 20% tint put on next week.

Here's a few better pics of the Supra and M3 taken in front of a nearby office building's fountain, which I think looks great. Still have the Enkei RP03's from the Supra...recently put on the stocks wheels for a change of pace.

Yea, seeing those RP03 actually did make me a bit more envious, one of the great underrated wheels out there!
