2012 Fit Buyers Check in!!! Welcome and Congrats!
The day I bought my Fit, it was very bright and sunny outside even though it early December. With clear skies, when you see the Blue Raspberry Metallic color on the Fit it really stands out--and I thought it looked a bit too "loud" for my own good taste. The pre-MMC current-generation Fits had a nice light blue called Tidewater Blue Metallic, and I would have gotten my 2012 Honda Fit in that color had they still offered it.
Hey guys, i'm sort of new here. I'm from Australia with my new 2012 Fit (called Jazz here in Australia). I've been enjoying this thread so i thought i'd have an input. Heres my Polished Metal Metallic AT Jazz;

You'll notice the different front bumper, wheels and headlights. Also the interior, theres no satnav option, and the dash ISN'T illuminated in blue
p.s. is there any way i can install the blue illuminated light in my dash?

I just picked up my 2012 MT Fit Sport on Jan 4. I've been driving a 2009 AT Fit Sport since Feb 2009 but I always regretted not getting the manual transmission. I've been looking for a used 2009 MT Fit to buy in the DFW area but they are really hard to come by. So I decided to just get a new one and sell my 2009 Fit
I LOVE this car, the manual is so much more fun to drive and it feels like I'm driving a totally different car. The only thing I'm still debating is if I like the new Sport wheels or not. I think the 2009-11 Fit Sport wheels are awesome looking and it looks perfect on the Fit. I might end up selling the new wheels and getting some after market rims instead. Gonna install some Swift springs in the next week and then I'll see how it looks with the lowered springs.

Bought a base white MT in November. Just put new wheels on it last night.

The new wheels and tires knock 3 dB off the noise level at 70 mph.
I have a sport axle with the anti sway bar that I will install soon.
Weight on each tire/wheel assembly is 35lbs. So to get to 205/55R16 at the same weight as stock I had to choose a light tire on a light rim (DWS on TRMotorsports C1 42 offset). There are 159 tire choices in that size - 2nd most popular tire size in the US and many are less than 20 lbs. I am happy with the light weight aftermarket rim making that tire size a viable choice without messing up suspension dynamics.
I have an aversion to foglights as gravel hits them and cracks them and when I sell the car, I always insist it be perfect - I get tired of buying fog lights for the next owner. So the black paint on the front bumber of the base model that simulates a large opening is the best for me. It is a copy of some Rando treatment I saw here.
Thank you for the ideas on this forum.

Picked Up a Fit Last November
I got a 2012 Fit Sport A/T in Alabaster Silver. I started a thread on my initial thoughts in choosing and buying a Fit here:https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...th-review.html
I won't post a picture since it looks like everyone elses' Silver Fit Sport, and will stay stock.
These types of forums are great sources on information. I struggled with setting the auto locking settings, and this site gave far better instructions than those in the manual. I also purchased a cargo cover from a site sponsor at a price FAR better than I could have purchased it locally for. Kudos to Bernardi Honda. Incidentally, I think that the cargo cover helped quiet down the car a bit, especially on the highway and powering (or should i say gradually accumulating speed) up hills.
I paid $500 under factory sticker plus sate tax and lic., period. No silly fees, and no money for the ugly door edge guards, wheel moldings, pin stripes, or "fabric protectors" (i.e. a can of Scotchguard) that are on the car. I have never had a dealer try to pack me with so many bogus fees and outrageous charges for things I didn't want that they added to the car.
The sooner I get the bad taste out of my mouth from the bad dealer experience, the more I can enjoy my awesome Fit!

Would you believe me if I told you my TPMS light was On before I got the car off the lot? I have an appointment Monday at the dealer to get it looked at. Just making the appointment was more time then I wanted to devote to the system Grrrrrrrrr

This is a dumb question, but did you check the tires and add some air as/if needed? The TMPS on any car can be super annoying. On my Audi, you can acutally program it through the user interface to what pressure you want it to activate on. Kinda nice.

I bought it Friday night, drove it home then adjusted pressure on the spot, tested it right away (50 miles?), been driving it all weekend..still amber, but always fun!

congrats on your purchase!
Yeah, I'm currently looking for some after market wheels for my Fit. I'll probably stick to 16 rims since I don't want them to be too heavy. I'll probably post my wheels for sale soon. Here's a pic of the twins in the garage
