ASM was my first choice when I was looking for a new Fit but ended up quite happy with the OBM. In looking though all this pictures I guess I could have easily settled for any of the colors since I think the FIT just is a cool looking car regardless of what paint is on it. The PMM has a bit of an industrial vibe to it and I think it is a great match with the stock 2012 rims.

Correct, the camera I used was a total piece of junk...I had borrowed it from a friend.

However, the camera merely emphasizes the problems with ASM, it doesn't actually create them.

As I see it, ASM has two problems:
1) It is a conservative color on a decidedly non-conservative vehicle. People who love Fits want them to have bold colors, and Silver just doesn't fit the bill. Its the Buick of Fit colors.

2) ASM minimizes all the interesting lines in the sheet metal. This really takes away from the character of the car.

Well, I don't know that I'd go that far. I think it's a smart thing that silver is included. I'm sure there are many like me who want a sharp, classy looker of a car, as opposed to bold. Color really speaks to where you are in your life. A younger person may be into bold and cool or 'fun' colors. An older person [ok, I admit that's me] may want something more classy while still looking sporty. Silver typically offers that. But it really depends on where you are in life at the moment, and frankly just your state of mind at the moment too. And also to me, the size and shape of a car helps dictate what color just looks best on it. The ASM color for me is just too light a shade. PMM is just a bit too dark for me, even though I got it and do prefer it over ASM. The darker shade and the alloy wheels compliment and set a tone of class and sporty. I think Honda did well to offer two shades of silver- I just wish SSM remained the lighter one. But when you love the CAR that is the Fit, it's hard not to love it no matter what color it is. There's a whole lot of great under the colors!

Thanks, the sunlight really did a number on the orangeburst finish. The OBM sure is unique in that it really looks radically different in various lighting settings.

I'm going to be keeping the car stock. Just wanted a reliable fun car to drive around and be able to transport equipment in. The car itself was enough of an investment!
