My roadtrip sponsored by 3M painters tape

Getting ready for a 900 mile roadtrip starting at 3 am tomorrow. The fit is less than 2 weeks old so i decided to protect the front end from paint chips. I figured i would snap some pics of the blue tape fit when we stop on our way home. First meal break tomorrow will be at chipotle for lunch in memphis, Tn. We are traveling from Ft Rucker, Al to Overland park, KS for christmas.

I think you need to go higher on the hood. Probably up to the top of the headlights.

Honestly I say you wasted your time, unless you ride around like that all the time it's not gonna prevent long term damage unless you get a clear bra. I got all my rock chips on my VW GTI at around the town and low speed traveling, after I wasted my efforts doing that for a road trip.

I agree. Get clear bra or back off the semi's. I have 24k on my Fit right now and the front is still in decent shape (with only 1 knick needing repair around 6k miles) compared to my old Accord or Civic (company car). This weekend during a wash/clay/seal/wax I didn't have any chips or nicks that needed touch up. 90% of my driving is highway. We will see, however, how the car holds up to rock salt this winter (it will be the first winter its seen).

That's doing too much.

You should finish the hood. Anything worth doing, is worth doing right.

Have a safe trip!
