Plastidip is cheaper at $6 a can and it comes in more colors.

First time I've heard of it. This looks like an alternative to the 3M 'clear bra', which I have on my car. If it's anything like the clear bra it can collect dirt faster due to its tacky finish which would then make it stand out. On the positive side the transition from bare paint may not be as abrupt leaving less of an edge for wax to collect under.

Try it and tell us about it.

I tried it!

Plastidip is cheaper but my emblems are dipped and after 1 yr require touching up...wouldnt want that on my bumpers.

I purchased a can, the handle (which I will reuse on other spraycans) and the masking tape / hood wrap (probablly could have gone without it since it was just masking tape and a dropcloth but better safe...)

Did the bumpers yesterday...you will not need the whole can and it blends in really well. Cheaper than getting the film put on.

Has a tacky feel to it but way better than driving without it. Before I had it resprayed (accident) my bumper looked like trash with rock chips all over.

Lets see how it hold up over the next two weeks when I drive down to DC.
