Desperate need of help installing swift springs!

I can't get my axle back in with the strut. We tried everything but it's not working and the holes aren't matching. I am starting to freak out it's 2:00am and I don't know what to do! Please Help!

I used rubber straps from Home depot and it worked great. I agree you definately need them to keep the axle out. I didnt have them when I was putting my swifts in,stopped and took a cab to home depot to make sure I would be screwed by the axles...

I heard if it falls out it may take time to spin in while trying to get it back in.

Just keep a jack under the hub assembly while working. If it does pop out turn the disc back and forth quickly while pushing the axle in towards the transmission. Should pop right back in.

^ This ^. Exactly what I did. Keep a jack under that bitch and it won't be going no where. If it does come out then do the twisty push and it should pop back in.

+1

I've used this method many times, and never had an axle pop out on me.

I'm going to x5 this, I put a jack under the hub to keep it from popping out or moving too much and had no problems whatsoever.

Glad you got it back together, i've had many 2 a.m. WTF moments myself and understand your stress

Yeah, sorry for this panicking post but we started at 8pm, and it got into 2:00AM! Finally finished but there is a clicking noise when I hit a hole in the road or something. I believe I didn't have air tools to tighten the sway bar link tight, is that correct? Plan to tighten as soon as possible so nothing bad happens.

It was real stressful but once we learned everything we got the second one in less then 30 minutes. I recommend you keep the axle from falling by putting or anything, so that you don't end up having to spin x1000 to get it in!

I got it for $258 or something from evasive including shipping, nice deal.

The only thing I used air tools for was to take off the top nut and that was just to save time, I don't think you really need air tools at all.

You should check and tighten everything after you drive for a little bit anyway. It's just good practice.
