Not a fan of the stretched look. Dangerous too as the tires are much more likely to come off the rims or blow on a pothole since they are being pushed past the manufacturer's recommended wheel size.

Looks like it is again It's your car, do what you want. However, I wouldn't expect alot of the members here to support your styling choices.

Ya.it seems that way. No matter if I had a $3000 set of pink wheels. An inch lower or inch higher, no $ cap ect... Unless its there car then maybe they would like.

Obviously I like stretched tires. I don't hate on people with the recommended size. Large or small wheels. Fast/slow. It's the driver that I can't stand sometimes.

Who's complaining about wheel choices? I haven't seen anyone say that the wheel is crap or anything like that. The Fact that they want to run a dangerous wheel/tire setup (which could impact other drivers) is the issue I have with this (and every other) stretched tire thread.

The wheels... meh!
The tires... meh!
The seup - not so meh!... more like ignorant or entitled.

First off, a flat tire is a flat tire. (Equal to all that drive) there have been no reports of injuries or
Death by stretch tire. Tire manufactures have and continue to improve there tires for those who r
Decide to stretch tires. I'm not the first to ever my tires. And manufactures know that. They make stretch friendly tires. Do some research, ask some questions.

No manufacturer makes stretch friendly tyres, they would never open themselves up to that liability nightmare.

Also, obviously the dead idiots won't post up their death on the forums.

Why do tire manufactures make off road tires? Low profile? Drag radials? White walls? 13's?26s.....31s????? Because of the TREND!!! They don't say there All safe bit they do there best because they know people are going to do it anyways. So people don't wake up dead.....hmmm

I'm pretty sure that people make off-road tyres, drag radials, etc not for a trend, but for a very specific purpose. IE off-roading or going down a straight line as quickly as possible.

Why white walls? b/c they were stock on some cars? 13's? Same. 26's? B/C some people like to be ghetto superstars.

So essentially the only thing your car is comparable to is an idiot on 26's.

You've done an excellent job proving that stretched tyres are cool.

BTW, your Sportcracks still suck.

A Flat tire is... a flat tire - this statement is true. A Blowout is a blowout - another true statement I will throw out there.

An untrue statement: A Properly fitted Tire and an improperly fitted tire have the same risk of a blowout.

Stretch Friendly Tires? If it's on google, it's gotta be true. No company (as stated above) will risk that without putting on the tire "For Offroad use only" (Like the fake HID bulbs). The disclaimer will be there for a tire manufacturer to make something like that and then it is not approved for street use.

Looking back, the Falken ZE512 is what you are running... Approved for street use.

An improperly fit tire has a higher risk of blowout and a 205/40/17 is not properly fit on a 9+" wheel. Checking Falken's Website for the ZE512 in the above size shows that 7.0 - 8.0" is the approved size. 235 seems to be the smallest Falken will be willing to say will work on a 17" wheel that's 9" wide.

I have done some research... and the research concludes... It's dangerous.
