The first time I saw this color on the 2012 Fit Sport at Honda SFO, I soooo love it! Nice add-ons, btw. Maybe I'll consider putting door sills on my Fit, after seeing what you did.

Great adds to your Fit. I really like the door sills. Did the 3M tapes seem durable?

Thanks!

Tape seems to be very durable. I checked them yesterday and they aren't going anywhere. I prepped it good with dawn soap and alcohol, so they should stay in place.

2012FitFan,

Those Clazzios looks really fantastic. I see you are in GA; I'm in SE Tenn, and I remember as a kid vinyl seats getting scorchingly hot even in Michigan. As good as they look, I don't know if I could stand them either from a temp perspective or a "breathe" perspective. I don't need to go into details about how uncomfortable that could get, do I?

So how are they in GA? Do you have to add the cost of really good tinting to "help" keep the temps down?

The 2 things that attract me to them are looks and ability to clean up. I have a sports-oriented young teen (and his buddies) for whom I'll have to lay down towels if I don't have these Clazzios. Thanks

Thanks!

I have 32% tint all the way around. That helps with the heat. I would have done tints regardless of installing Clazzio's. At work, luckily I'm under covered parking most of the day. When it was parked at the golf course the other day for 4 hours, they were a little warm. I'm sure they can get hot. I haven't experienced that yet.

When we are down on the SE coast next week, I'll get a better idea about the heat and Clazzio's. I'll post up here with my thoughts.

I just googled TN's tint laws and they say no less than 35% VLT (visible light transmission). Does 32% tint mean 68% VLT?

Or when people say 32% tint, is it implied that it means 32% VLT, even though grammatically it's a little off (kind of like, "I could care less")

I had the oil changed and tires rotated today at 8,300 miles.

Vacation time! Tomorrow we're off on a long trip.

Hey hope you have a great trip! So you're good to go for another 8K.

Just returned from my trip to the Tomales Bay/Point Reyes area and had a blast. The Fit performed GREAT on those curvy highways through the coastal mountains and was averaging 33-34mpg and I was really putting it through its paces.

That's awesome my friend! I'm so glad you had a great trip! Your gas mileage is getting better and better!!

Tomorrow morning we're headed out to Brunswick area down in SE east GA. Going to put some miles on the Fit (750+ or so r/t).

41.5 mpg. 357 miles. Fill up was 8.6 gallons. Speed was mostly at 65 mph.

We made it without the low gas light coming on!

Even better mpg on the return trip home!! 42.41 mpg. 348.3 miles. Fill up was 8.212 gallons. Mainly 65 mph driving. That seems to be the sweet spot.

Both times the low fuel light never came on. Impressive!! This car is incredible!

Thanks my friend! Our vacation was great!

I'm thinking visors. I haven't made up my mind. They would have been handy this trip.

I managed 32mpg, average for the whole trip (over my usual around town mpg of 26) last month during our trip down to st. simons island. We cruise around 80mph on the highways.

A small update on my Fit.

Just recently it developed a noise in the engine bay. It sounded like a whirring at first and got progressively worse. It was a distinct sound and loud enough you could hear it in the cabin. I took it to the Honda dealer and as soon as I drove into the bay the adviser said there was an issue. He thought it sounded like a bearing type noise. They diagnosed the program and it turned out to be the AC compressor. The AC was cooling fine, but the compressor/clutch was making noise. They tried to replace the compressor first, but it developed a different noise. They ended up replacing the compressor, clutch and coil. It's whisper quiet again. The adviser said he rarely sees an issue like this for this car. Honda Carland North, in Cartersville, GA, did a great job! Definitely great service.

Anyway, I'm very happy to have it back. I'm still getting 35 mpg and still loving this car!

I want to thank Steve244 for helping me out. He's super knowledgeable and someone you can count on for help.

Thanks again Steve!
