2011-12 Black headlights on 2010?

Are the black housing headlights from the 2011-12 a direct fit on the 2010?

sure, if I can find a black set for a reasonable price. I noticed that the 11 base model are black (plastic) housing also, are they the same as the 12 ones, or are the 12's different in some way? wondering if the 12's are gloss painted or not, cant remember from when I was at the dealership.

T.J.

you going to retrofit HID or going back to stock?

the black housings on your car are pretty sick, wondering if and why you would want to go back?

The base is grey if you look closely. The 12's are gloss black.

I want to retrofit my headlights again, but I'll be painting the trim black like the 12's. I can't do w/o my current ones for the retrofit process, hence needing another pair.

Gotcha. As soon as I find a set of the gloss black 12's ill gladly sell you these. I'll be in touch. Just need to find a good equivelent for the tails. Was thinking the JDM ones, but really want them to be blacked out as much as possile to stick to the color theme im going for. Any suggestions?

I would suggest these: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...aillights.html

Also the smoked axis tails are sick. I went w/ the depo red and clear w/ my build because too much black on a black car looks weird imo.

Cool, thanks man. I have "a guy" who is looking into the '12 headlights, may be able to work something out very soon.

i had the same problem. once my front end was a bit "blackened" i wanted to balanced.

as state above i have the depo's too but i have the one where it still have the red bottom part. i just think it looks nicer, because its still kind of OE looking.

Yep, those are the ones. Just ordered them. So excited to put some of this stuff on, total transformation coming.

Just open your's up, and paint the inside black. That's what I did.

There a lot of how to's out there on opening up the housings.

Yea, I will look into that aslo. Still waiting to hear back on the cost, but will take this option into account if needed. Ive done that with other cars and it never turns out the way I want, or i f^#% somethign up in the process.

Thanks though...

No doubt, its not easy, and you have to take your time.

I just couldn't justify spending $150-$200 for black headlight housings, when I can do it myself for ~$10.
