I think you have to hunt down the beeper and unplug it.

I recently had to unhook the battery again and now this time the darn thing beeps every time I push the button, even to unlock the door. Please help! I do not want to take it in and drop it off for the entire day for such a thing like this.
Have you tried reading the manual, or doing a search, or starting your own thread instead of posting in an unrelated one?

just out of curiosity why do you want to disable the beeping?

The easiest way to disable it is probable start at the trigger that is in the door. There must be a way you could re-wire it think the door is closed. How you do that, I have no idea, or if its even possible.

I'll be the FF smart-ass for the day:

Remove the key before opening the door/while having the door open.

You'll have to find the buzzer and take it out, probably the cleanest way to do it. I've done it before on older cars but that was because it sounded like nails on chalkboard and was a literal buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've always thought the Honda ones were plesant enough haha

Fun fact: Honda's door buzzers beep 4 times, which is morse code for H, H for Honda.

Could try taping the plunger down maybe.

I believe the OP is looking for a simple method to temporarily disable the warning beeps. Why all the smart comments? Is there no one who ever wanted to listen to the radio when the drivers door is open? (instead of "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep - beeeeeeeeeeeeeep, beeeeeeeeeeeeeep", etc.) Maybe he would like to have the door open when listening to the radio while detailing, or cleaning windows or a dozen other things where you want the door open with the key in the ignition.

^ I have a Ipod station in the garage so I can listen to my Ipod while working on my car. If im washing the car or what not I will grab headphones and listen to music that way.

Yup. Beeps any time the car is off, key is in the ignition, and the door is open. It's a handy thing I think.

Exactly it warns that your key is in the ignition. Which might seem stupid until you lock yourself out somehow

It's tough to do but possible. On all of my previous hondas (with the door open) you pulled the interior handle (like you are opening the door) and pressed the lock into the locked position, then shut the door. it realistically has to be a conscious decision to lock the door like that, not an accidental issue.

Now if some electrical type forum member could come up with. The best way to wire a pushbutton LED switch that glows red when the door chime is disabled, i think that arrangement would be ideal.
