VSA fault and power loss
#21
Hi, can anyone suggest some easy troubleshooting tips? I have a 2009 Honda Jazz 1.4 EX, built in japan no mods. It has about 40,000 miles on the clock.
Recently the VSA check light and micro-dot display indicator came on while driving in dry, safe conditions on a straight road. There was no loss of power.
The indicators both stayed on until I restarted the engine a couple of minutes later. these incidents were a couple of days apart. I've been using the car for a few days now for short commutes without incident.
I suppose I am asking an impossible question in that ultimately I need to get the problem professionally diagnosed. But AFAIK the local dealer charges just to diagnose these problems and I don't trust them not to skin me for as many replacement parts as they think I'll pay for...the car is outwide warranty.
