Silverstar ZXE review
Silverstar ZXE review
I was very hapy with the color temp and price of my Nokya Artic White Stage I's. However, I didn't like all of the solid blue reflections that they put out in our huge headlamp while either off or on.
As such, I decided to try the ZXE's.
Pro's:

Bottom line:
If you want a "cool looking bulb" you can get cheaper. If you want a subtle more performance oriented bulb, it's a good buy.
As such, I decided to try the ZXE's.
Pro's:
- Minimal blue when on/no blue when off
- Better visibility than "bluer/whiter" bulbs
- The light that hits the road is actually close to HID color, although not nearly as bright. (I know, I had a retrofit)
- Blends with the OEM look, but stands out next to halogens
- Comes with a 1 year warranty, but I've yet to see any Silverstars hold up more than 6 months...we'll see.
- Not convinced that the product deserves such a hefty price
- Some yellowish tint at certain angles or compared to Nokya
- Sylvania confesses that "actual" light output decreases, but the eye can see white easier, so it's close to stock visiblity.

Bottom line:
If you want a "cool looking bulb" you can get cheaper. If you want a subtle more performance oriented bulb, it's a good buy.
