I purchased a 2013 Honda Fit (DX-A, manual transmission, red) on October 2, 2012. I talked to my dealer yesterday and they said they still have no word on when my car will arrive. Dealer said it would arrive in January in the worst possible case...

What would be a typical wait for this car?

 

I got mine the very same day. Oh wait. You're in Canada. Nevermind!

 

Canadian Fits are now made in China. They are probably on the slow boat from China.

In 09 my dealer got mine within 2 days from another local dealer.

11 weeks now and still no car.

I had to cancel my order with the dealer. It is approaching 16 weeks now and they still couldn't source a DX-A manual in the colour I wanted (red).

While it's not a surprise that the base model only exists on paper so they can advertise a low 'starting at' price, it is disappointing that I still couldn't get the car I ordered after 16 weeks.

Just a heads up to anyone ordering the base model... you may have to wait a very long time.

 

Whoa, that's amazing. The dealers I visited in Florida each had several, too bad you couldn't just drive your old car across the border and grab one! Do you think they would check the plates??? Hmmm, something tells me this has been tried before....

 

Where are you located in Canada? My local dealer might have something. I'm happy to ask.
