14" Snow tires

I have a set of 14's from my older civic that aren't in use anymore. The tires are practically brand new. The rims hub bore are too small, it won't allow sit flush. I was going to but new rims from discounttiredirect.com and then found this thread:

Would purchasing the spacers work instead of spending money on new rims and getting the tires mounted?

I don't think 10mm spacers will work unless you:

1. Install extended studs on your hubs
2. Have space on the wheels for the original studs to fit into. If the back face of the wheels don't have indentions for the original studs to go into the wheel will not mount flat on the rotor face.

You could get 20mm bolt-on spacers (Project Kics?) but i'm not sure about rubbing in the front if you space that wide. It would eliminate both problems above though.

Probably cheaper (and safer) to just find a different set of 14" steel wheels on Craigslist or a junkyard with the proper hub bore. Would probably cost the same or less than the spacers anyway.

Certainly will; a 1/4", 6 mm spacer will work fine. But be sure first that the brake caliper is cleared, some Civic wheels won't clear them and thicker spacers won't have enough threaded shaft to properly secure the wheel.

Sweet I ordered the spacers. I already know the wheel won't hit the brakes. It was just the damn hub that was the issue. Thanks everyone!
