Audio device not supported

I have a 2010 Fit, and just started getting a device not supported when connecting my iPod or iPhone to the auxiliary plug. It has worked perfectly for years. Any suggestions? Possibly new apple software incompatibility issues, or maybe bad cord? Thanks for any suggestions.

Have had this problem with 2010 fit for 2 years. Has to do with apps I believe that use Internet but conflict with each other. Close all programs in background.

I use a dedicated iPod classic to store music. About once every 4-5 months I have to reboot it to get it to work. That would be my recommendation, especially if it worked previously.
