Brand New Fit Sport First 10 Upgrades Top Ten
Can the dealership get you the brackets and pins?
Haha. My dealership doesn't even know how to order parts! I called and asked about the visors and arm rests, and it took them two days apiece to call and ask if they were aftermarket. I'm sure there's a more reputable dealership nearby though.
Im sure there isn't a huge difference between Weathertech and U-Ace/Aries. If you could take a few pictures of how they fit, I'd love to put them in the thread. Or, if you see how I took pictures of all the problem areas, that would be the best.
Very helpful thread. Thanks!
This is a very helpful compilation. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.
I've had my '13 Sport for less than a week. I've ordered the U Ace mats (unfortunately back-ordered for roughly a month) and am strongly considering window tinting (I'm open to any recs for a good installer in the Seattle area) and protective film at least on the foglights.

I'm glad it was helpful for you. It's the very reason I made this thread, so new owners can get right into protecting their investment. I would HIGHLY recommend a quality wax/sealer ASAP. You may want to consider a clear bra because I got nicks in the front hood in under a month of road driving. Great call on the U-ACE mats and the Foglight protective film.

I was considering the clear bra, but I can't justify the expense. Even though the car is apparently very susceptible to chips and I want to keep it looking good, I realize it's a daily-driver, not a show car. Since I intend to keep the car for a long time, the impact of a few dings in the resale value isn't really a factor, and I can live with them. Instead, I'll just pick up a touch-up paint pen and treat the dings that come my way with that.
That is the absolute best alternative to a clear bra that I have discovered. I may not even get a bra, I hear they turn yellow almost no matter what you do to them. It's just quite disheartening to find more chips and nicks every week on the hood despite the hand wax it got.
The U-Ace Mats are definitely the way to go. Better than the competition in a lot of areas.

Wow. I would look closely maybe. I also live on the west coast but in a relatively urban area, so maybe the streets are more littered with small projectiles.
Seat covers look pretty cool. How long did you have to wait for them? Hard to tell from the pics but is the Honda badge on the head rest cover stitched or printed on? Also, is that the only size (head rest badge) or is there smaller option(s)? I'd probably want to go a bit subtle.
This thread is a great resource for customizing my Fit. I've done the LED bulb replacements for the interior lighting, window tinting, WeatherTech window visors and hitch/bike rack mods. Looking at more interior stuff now - floor mats and seat covers. Clazzios and Cover Kings are at the top of the list for seat covers and I'll probably pick up the 3D floor mats soon.

Clazzio does not actually have a website where they sell they sell seat covers. There are three or four different websites that you can order Clazzio's from. The particular site that I ordered mine from, offered custom stitched emblems for the headrests. I thought it would make the seats look more official and would help break up the stitching pattern a bit. I like the look but if you get close up to the Honda emblem you can see that the stitching is not the best. Definitely not worth the money I paid from car-leather.com. If I could do it over, I would take the headrest to a professional stitching place and get exactly the size I wanted. Guaranteed to be cheaper and better quality.
I placed my order for these seat covers 3 months ago. Back when custom stitching orders orders were cheaper but took 3 months to produce. Now they take a couple weeks but are $200 more than I paid. I actually ordered mine on the very last day before they made the switch. I haven't installed my covers yet so I can't say how they look or how comfortable they are. The dark grey is almost exactly the same grey as the non-black parts of the stock sport seat pattern.
I'm glad you've gotten some good information from this thread. Once the inspiration to upgrade is there, an easy to understand reference source is invaluable.

RSB-Rear Sway Bar
Our 'GO TO' cars for the past 20yrs have been BMW3 series but one of my first cars as a teen was a Honda Accord hatchback. For many reasons--mpg, run flat tires, high maintenance/parts cost and that the insurance companies Total the car whenever it reaches 160K+ miles and gets in an accident-- I have gone back to Honda/Toyota. I just got a 2013 Fit Base manual and was considering adding a RSB but was wondering whether it would be compatible with the Base since the suspension etc is not conformed for it. Do you need the whole package for the RSB to be effective? Will it put anything out of kilter? I would have got the Sport but it was too expensive and they didn't have a manual.
Also, I disagree with the other post about the benefits of a RSB. We also just got a Prius with Performance Plus pkg and the handling is far superior to one without it. Taking curves or cloverleafs coming on/off freeway ramps it holds the curve much tighter w/o slipping. I'm sure mountain or driving roads winding hillside roads will also demonstrate its benefits. Of course, the suspension is lower too but I don't think they do that on the Fit Sport.
As you might guess, we had a bad car month--hit & run

Replacing Stock Lighting With LED
*I do not promote changing the brake lights or turn signals to LEDs. This post over at Red filter (tail light lens) - red or white LED? makes a lot of good points that I did not know. Below is a question and response I copied from the middle of the thread.
Question:
"So, with respect, how can people generalize that LED's don't work? Is it just the bulb-replacement types, or are you talking about LEDs in general? I ask b/c tons of vehicles have LEDs now ( I assume, therefore, that you're speaking of aftermarket parts). Also, how can these be illegal?"
Answer:
"LEDs work very well as most of us design around them almost exclusively now instead of filament, halogen, or HID (personally I guess). We are referring to these LED drop-ins that fit directly into your existing housing. They don't work because they rely on your existing halogen or HID reflector, while requieing their own optics/reflectors to meet the same codes and design characteristics as the originals. The vehicles that have factory stock LED lights have the optics/reflectors, heatsinks, etc. that meet the required codes and produce the correct standards of light.
When we say illegal we mean that they are not illegal to sell or even own. Just illegal if you install them as they don't produce the correct required image, or intensity. Also, vehicle codes specify that on road use is illegal. Off road use is not illegal (i.e. true offloading, track cars, and show cars)"
The short version of the thread is basically that LEDs shine in one direction while filament bulbs shine all around. Reflector systems made for filaments will not reflect LED light in an adequate fashion. Turn signals are designed to be seen from many angles, not just directly behind the vehicle. Dropping LEDs in won't cast the correct glow for legal visibility. I believe the "third brake" can be changed to LEDs as long as the regular brake lights are filaments (or legal full LED brake light replacements with reflectors that pass vehicle code).
*However, after reading this thread over on The Acura boards Received my VLED Triton V3 LED park and turn bulbs! A few pics inside! - AcuraZine Community, I believe that these V-LED V3 Triton bulbs might be the first extremely high quality (and brighter lumen output than OEM) LED bulb capable of handling turn signal and brake light duties.

^^^i was thinking about posting something like this. I put LEDs on my 1991 Taurus sho over a decade ago and they looked like two little bright dots. I figured they had modified them to work correctly by now but I guess not.
That a great comparison video you posted, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to include in the main part of the article. Ill source you for credit on it. Any other info or videos that you wanna make that are good comparisons between before and after, I will include it in the main post. This post is gonna go down as the all time most info in one place for the honda fit.

I get a bit of air through their when I'm going 55+
