Advice on buying my first Fit (2010)
Hey all! I'm looking at a 2010 Fit base, ~38K miles on her, Certified, dealer are asking $13000. According to Edmunds, KBB, NADA, Clearbook, etc, this is a really good price. Carfax was totally normal, no dings, nothing to indicate its been abused. So I put it to you guys, since if it seems to good to be true - is this a good deal?
And if it is...what should I mod first!? XD

An auto in my area with 38K retails for $13,400 according to Edmunds.
I'd say $13,000 is a good price for an automatic (not too good to be true). It's a bit high for a MT Base.
First mod? put gas in it.

Check your payment with interest first cause new from honda at .9% came out to 318 a month for me. Just saying you can get new for a couple bucks more maybe. My first mods i ordered are window visors, sunshade for windshield and t1r springs. (Got mine Tuesday)

The first mod should definitely be the gutter guard condenser protection behind the bumper grill. Cheap insurance against damaging a part that could cost upwards of 500$ to repair.
Window tint is a must since you are in Tampa.

At that price, especially if you are going to finance, why not buy new? I paid $15k for my base M/T in 2010, a brand new car. I was looking for Certified used at the time and the numbers just didnt add up.

Thanks!
Thanks for the responses! First thing, yes it is an automatic (only manuals I can find are new). I'm not going new because I am financing (ugh) and I have a short credit history (college kid) so at best my rate would be 8% (which is getting hella refinanced later on).
I agree, tint will probably be #1. Car is blue with black interior - I'd roast down here lol.
(and the dealer better fill the tank! hah)

NA Honda should be able to get you a better interest rate on a new car than used. The difference in interest might make up for the difference in principle you'd see between buying used and new.
Talk to the new car finance manager and explain the situation before you settle on the car you want to buy. They have a lot of latitude on rates and will shop around for you. Also check with your bank/credit union and insurance company (State Farm offered to finance my car).
Beware though, dealers often make more money on financing than they do on the sale of the car. It's part of the negotiating process. Don't pay too high an interest rate regardless of whether you buy used or new.
