Would you buy an 09' Fit with 100k?
I've been in the market for my first Fit now for quite some time. I'm not sure what problems I would encounter with an 09' fit with 100K on the clock. So my question to the forum is...
...Would you buy an 09' Fit Sport (with navi) with 100K on it?
if so...what would be your max price?
And what sort of maintenance would i need to address promptly?
Thanks guys!

All depends on the price lol. Mileage on a well maintained Honda is nothing to be concerned about. I just purchased my 07 with 108k about 3 weeks ago and love it. I would check out the recommend replacement items for the 100k service but typically the valves need to be adjusted, new spark plugs Denso IK22 is what most Fit owners run I believe) and I think some people do the coilpacks.
But serious seriously on price.. it depends the going rate in your area. I would guess $11k might be about average? Hopefully someone in the area will chime in

Looking at Edmunds I think the above poster is correct. A car like that in Dallas should run between 10 and 12k depending on condition. As long as it has good records and you like the color, condition and style I wouldn't think twice about it.
You have to be realistic, however, any car past 100k is bound to need something even if it's something simple like brakes or coolant, brake fluid etc. If it's a stick it might need a clutch.
I noticed they made the NAV available with a stick in 2009. That's nice. We really wanted a 2013 stick with NAV but they only offer the NAV with an auto now. Bummer...
But I have to say for just another 6k you can get a new one.

For 12k I will sell you my car! 2008 fit sport manual with 55k on the clock black exterior and accident free.....maybe even less mileage. Many aftermarket parts including all stock parts removed. Im not really interested in selling it but if I did it would be because of space, its getting cramped in there for a growing family...
Or for another $1k get a car with half the miles. Checking edmunds it looks like that's about the price difference between a 50K and 100K example.
Cars tend to get more expensive over 100k to maintain (valve adjustment and plugs can run you $300, maybe more. Unless they can show documentation this was done, assume it's an expense you'll pay for). More expensive parts failures tend to start at 150K (cv joints, radiator, exhaust, etc).
If the price difference were $2000 or more it might be worth considering a higher mileage Fit. I'd keep shopping.

Yea I'd say about 10k too. 10k for a Honda with navi isn't a bad deal. Especially if its been well maintained so hopefully they have a Carfax or something to show that to you. That's a lot of miles to put on in 4 years.
I personally wouldn't buy it, with a 100k+ miles you never know what could come up wrong with the car. Granted its a Fit so it wouldn't be expensive anyway but still a headache. I'd spend the extra couple grand for lower mileage and peace of mind

Used fits are typically hardly a bargain since the resale on these cars even with high miles tend to be a little on the high side. I been on that side shopping for used fits in the end it wasn't making much financial sense as new fits on special anywhere from 15-17k and with 0-1.9 financing used fits didn't make much sense since new ones were offered at such a bargain price. In the LA / OC area when i was shopping for a used 09-12' fits were fetching anywhere from 12-17k used.
I think it's better to not speak in hypotheticals
OP:
If you have a particular potential car in mind, just post the link to the specific car, then people can give you the thumbsup or thumbsdown if it's a good buy.
