Driving auto is so boring. I've been driving nothing but auto since I graduated highschool in 2008 lol. My left foot feels confused when I drive an automatic car.

I bought mine because it was like 700 bucks cheaper than an auto.

I find the M/T to just be more fun to drive and even enjoy the challenges of slow freeway driving trying to keep it in gear for as long as I can.

Love rowing through the gears as I accelerate. Also being in the hills and mountains of the Bay Area I figured I would benefit from having more control on inclines.

When I jump into an auto it takes me awhile to adjust to the fact there's no clutch LOL!

Control, mileage, power. Also somewhat cheaper maintenance.

sorry to chime in a little late on this. havent been on the forums in a long while.
Bought my m/t fit because thats really all I have driven. Ive had a AT car once when I first started driving but I found myself really wanting a MT. So since then I've had a MT and its just my preference. I feel like I have much better control of the vehicle and it does what I want it to. If I want to stay in a gear it will. Plus the power difference from AT to MT is much different. I feel much more power out of my MT than I do from the ATs at my dealership.

I am an ok manual driver, and i am 1000 times better at picking gears than even the best A/T i've ever driven. I sware A/T programmers have never driven a car. Don't get me started on that CVT crap, i understand all the benefits and such, they just piss me off. I just wish my 5MT had 20 more HP and a 6th gear!

You've never driven a decent auto then.

I hate low powered vehicles with a/t's. Constantly shifting, with the slightest throttle, or incline, whether needed or not.

I did it because I don't like modern automatics...they all seem programmed to insist on reaching the highest gear as quickly as possible, and then being reluctant to downshift. Also here in the PA hills, even with an automatic, you're constantly shifting to a lower gear to avoid burning up your brakes. Plus, I just like shifting myself, it feels more sporty.

I was actually looking for an auto, but a manual popped up for less than the rest. Has some miles on it.... but it's a Honda.

Manual transmission is one of the big reasons why I bought a Fit. Love the precise short throws. Much better than any competition.

Less complexity means less to go wrong. I have nothing against AT's, but I like to keep my transmission as simple as possible.

I bought the MT because I find it more fun to drive than an AT.

I swore to myself I would never buy a Honda that didn't have a stick in it.

Driving my girlfriends Del Sol with an AT is painful.

Flappy paddles are meant for big boy cars, NOT Fit's.
I dislike driving automatics due to lack of fun factor.
I think I can get better mpg's with my manual.

I like to drive.. People that prefer cars with automatic transmissions would be happier riding a bus than driving a car.
