I purchased my 2012 Fit Sport (manual transmission) in March of 2012. I’ve recorded gas consumption starting with the first full tank. The numbers are:

Miles traveled -- 9,790
Overall mpg (actual) -- 35.3
Overall mpg (dash display) -- 36.6

Mileage isn’t bad. The computer estimate of mpg displayed on the dash averaged 1.3 mpg (about4%) high.

My driving is mainly in Ohio – a combination of winter and summer, expressway and non-expressway travel. In our cold months (November through February) mileage was down a bit, averaging about 34 mpg.

Are these numbers similar to yours? Have you noticed a trend for the displayed mpg to be slightly optimistic?

 

I've tracked 2,572 miles in 2 months. Only 8 tanks of gas.

With how I drive I was only hoping to avg 30mpg, so I am fine with what I get. I ditched the stock LRR tires during my first full tank, use cruise control a lot, and also rev it out a bunch. For me, MPG is secondary to fun

Avg is in signature. Low tank was 31.5 (used a/c for a bit) high tank was 35.2. I show the avg mpg while driving, but don't keep track when I fill up, and reset as well.
