Spent another hour changing oil seals and bearings. The helical LSD sit perfectly in the transmission housing. Tomorrow night measure the shim then head for my local Honda dealership on Saturday morning. Saturday I can work on the gear stacks

I measured the shim this morning and placed the order with my local Honda dealership for two shims, 1.30mm and 1.35 mm. Just in case I measured wrong. On the way home from the dealership I realized I should have check my spare tranny. I pulled the shim out from my spare tranny and surprise surprise surprise. It is 1.35 mm. One of the size that I ordered. Tonight I will be busy if my measurement are correct and the 1.35 mm is the right one.

Team MFactory and I are squared away with. Micheal Yip kept his words.

Finally I got my car put back together this weekend. Last weekend was a wash because of Chinese New Year. I had to go with my wife to visit her close friends. Any how, it is night and day different with the helical LSD and the 4.928 final drive gear. The car is a lot more sure-foot in corner making on and off ramp even more fun. Hmmm . . . . I need more boost.

The correct part number for the Team MFactory is MF-TRS-05D17. This is the helical LSD that I installed in my 2009 Honda FIT GE.

Congratulations,
I wish they make an LSD for an Automatic Transmission USDM GE...
and can't wait to see the further result from changing to smaller pulley and the aquamist water injection

Go for it. Pulling out the speedometer drive gear from the stock open differential is a bitch. Honda doesn’t sell the speedometer drive gear. You will have to separate the carrier bearing to get to the speedometer drive gear. I had to cannibalize a larger bearing separator from Harbor Freight to press out the carrier bearing then the speedometer drive gear.
