thank i relalsed that the 2012 and 2013 models are more expensive, so I guess we will see, i can not seem to find to many differences between the 2010 and 2012 sport though!

Well 2010 has NO Bluetooth, different wheels and NO VSA (Vehicle Stabilty Assist, aka traction control). All those features are on the 2012 with different looking alloy wheels.

Traction control is a safety feature. As its name implies, if the car starts to slide or lose traction(think rain or snow) the computer controlled system using the brakes tries to keep the wheels spinning to avoid lock up and skidding which you don't want, so you can still maintain steering control. Especialy nice to have during emergency manoeuvres.

sheila13, you may want to check out some dealers near you (and by near, I mean within 100 miles or so) and see if any have remaining 2012 models left new in the lot. I ran into one that did and they were willing to haggle quite a bit on the price. That was a couple months back.

If you can find a dealer with new 2012's still in stock NOW, they are likely to REALLY want them gone. I bet you could come closer to the prices you want.

In Canada, there are three trim levels (2013): DX, LX, Sports. LX has cruise control and is a nice little car. I got one recently (like last week!) and successfully paired a Nokia Lumia 520 (not listed on the handsfree.ca site, though the higher models 7xx 9xx etc are). The only thing I noticed that in the AT the lower gear shifts are a bit clunky if your foot is light (nimble) on the gas pedal as the upshift is in progress! Something that a few days of familiarity will take care of, I suppose. Honda has gone cheap for 2013! No cargo cover, no spare tire! Maybe in earlier years too it was the same story! Cargo covers, spare tires, cargo tray are all available from Honda of course and cost like upwards of 200 bucks each! HAHA! One option for avoiding cargo cover is to get the glass tinted (darker the better, within legal limits!). Tinting also keeps the car cooler (temperature-wise!) and easier on the AC!

LOVE the way Honda has used the space and the intelligent folding designs (down and up, as they called the LONG fit and the TALL FIT!

I don't worry about the Made in China bit! Isn't pretty much everything is, these days? Interestingly, decades ago when Japan was gradually climbing up in Post-WWII era and copying german camera makers the world had similar misgivings! NOW, look at NIKON and CANON which have reigned the photo markets for decades, and SONY and you name it. Then S. Korea followed the model and is gradually building a name in consumer cars and electronics! China is following suit, of course. As long as HONDA QA/QC is behind the warranty, I think we would be okay as far as FIT is concerned. Honda apparently has its factories in some 8-10 countries worldwide!

TTYL!

The top model is a Sport, not Sports. Cargo cover has never been standard on the Fit. And the reason you didn't get a spare tire is because you got the automatic. Manual cars get a spare tire. Why you ask? To meet Transport Canada fuel targets for subcompact class and avoid some tax at the manufacture/import level. Because the auto weighs more due to the auto transmissions extra weight, they drop the spare to get the weight back down.
