Price Assistance Please: 09 Fit Sport AT 154k miles
Hey gang...the time has come for us to part with our Fit. It's been a great car, but we're moving on. Its a 2009 Purple Sport AT. 154k miles. Couple of minor scuffs here and there, but overall in really good shape. Detailed maintenance completed (AT every 30k, brake / coolant every 2 years, oil on schedule, new plugs at 100k, valve spring at 83k, etc.). Newer brakes. Newer tires.
I have a good friend that is interested in purchasing. KBB puts it at 5900 private party, with edmunds at 9100 pp. I am just looking for a fair number. Given the limited number of these on the market, I am thinking low 8s, but your input is appreciated. Thanks!

edit: just twigged to the "good friend." You should be able to sell easily at $9000. It'd have to be a very good friend to let it go for 8grand (and what happens next month when it needs CV joints?). I'd list it on auto trader for a couple weeks and see what happens.

I checked NADA, KBB and Edmunds using my location for pricing. It's a little difficult to do because most want color and condition such as clean, etc.
NADA $6475.
KBB $5945.
Edmunds $7968.
I think asking $9k for a soon to be 5 year old car with over 150k miles is on the high side. Many people will move on when they see it has 154k miles.
Many buyers will not be able to work out financing. Most lenders will not finance cars with high miles.
Get whatever you can for the car, but I think the KBB price is about what you can expect. My 2 cents.

I'd go for the half way point between KBB and Edmunds for a Good friend. List out everything that has been done and I'm sure you'd give them the opportunity to talk to your service tech (or the dealer if you service it there).
Even though it's a honda and many cars these days go 200K miles, 154K is still high miles for many people. That said, it's obviously highway with more than 30K/year so it's been easy miles.
For reference, I bought my 86 prelude Si 2.0 with 133K miles on it (and it was 8 years old - first car) for $4k
