Wheels stolen! Lock recommendations?

Last Friday night, some lowlifes (lowlives?) came in my driveway and stole all four factory wheels off my 2010 Honda Fit Sport.

Even though the police said that wheel locks wouldn't have done any good (I had no clue that anybody would even want the wheels, so never bothered locking them), I turn to my fellow forumites to see if you have any recommendations for locking my next set. I thought of putting two different lock types on each wheel. Would that make a difference?

Regards,
Tom

No amount of different locks will stop a thief. If they have the tools with them to remove one lock they will be able to remove all of them. It may slow them down a bit but won't stop them.

I guess if nothing else having one set may be a deterrent, if they can find another one without locks it's a bit easier, but most criminals are opportunists and will go for it when they see it regardless.

Sorry that happened. The Fit is one of the last Hondas using alloys with 4x100 hub pattern that fits older Civics, kids want the Fit wheels to put on them so there is a demand.

I got wheel locks from the dealer when I got the car. Two summers ago I came out to my Fit and on one wheel all the lug nuts were off and on the ground except for the lock. So I agree they won't keep a pro from stealing your wheels, but they will stop a kid at least.

1. Steel wheels with hubcaps
2. Stock alloy wheels, 1 oem lock and 3 gorilla locks on each wheels(ball seat)
3. Aftermarket wheels with more lock options(gorilla guard locks, etc.)

If I was going to be buying the wheels, I'd definitely just put steel ones on it, but the insurance company is going to be providing new wheels. I'll look into the Gorilla locks, though.

Thanks!
Tom
