Question Fit Air Circulation Question

Have had my happy little Base 2010 Fit for a few years now. A few months ago, I am not sure if I imagined it or not, but the air coming in at all the levels (1,2,3 and 4) seem to be at half power!

I am not a mechanic, but I love fiddling with my fit. (and a newbie driver).

Does anyone know if there are two internal fans blowing in air or just one. I found one so far.

Maybe one of them has something jammed, and before asking for professional help I want to try and see if its a fix I can do on my own. (It could be air intake blockage or anything.....).

Also anyone else experience a sudden drop in circulation air pressure?.... I might be imagining it.

I have a good grip on the two filters (engine and cabin) and checked both regularly and clean out the leaves and insects that wander in.

There is only one fan. Take out the cabin filter and check around the fan blades to see it something fell into that area.

While the cabin air filter is out try running it that way and see if the circulation improves. If it does, replace the cabin air filter with a new one.

Thanks for the replies.

Looked for blockage and none found yet.
Also tried turning fan on without the filter and it improved slightly without the filter in place.

Therefore, I will replace soon a little earlier than I was planning to (as its time).

Going to keep checking around for blockage though. I have a feeling something is blocking the air flow partially.

If you have a volt meter you could unplug the fan motor and see how many volts you get to the fan at different speeds while probing both wires.

It wouldn't be the way a blower motor resistor fails but it could have melted down and bridged multiple resistances which could cut the voltage and cause slower fan speeds.

At least you could eliminate part of the electrical system as the cause.
