Gotta say, this has really been interesting to read! Glad everything worked out OK with the Fit. The E-bay engine turned out to be a blessing and will probably last another 150,000 miles - as long as certain people in your family don't drive it.

LOL! He's off to Peru next month, so it's safe for now!

I try to do most installs so that anyone looking at it, wouldn't be able to tell that the engine had been replaced.
Pretty easy to accomplish with this particular engine transplant. Everything just plugs right in.

I've always wanted to mod my parent's cars so that low oil pressure or high coolant temp would trigger a automatic shutdown.
I really oughta revisit this, maybe on the poor Fit.

Or maybe i'll let them kill it again and find a doner Civic si!

Ah, a Civic engine in the Fit. THAT I wanna see! Wait, did you say turbo?
