will changing rims throw off my alignment? i wouldnt think so but a friend of mine saw my front wheels and he thought it had positive camber but i think it is just the low offset of the wheels. i am planning on putting some negative camber, just a little so that it wont rub. but if i had in spec camber before my new wheels, it wouldnt change right?
For some reason when you lower the fit you get positive camber. With stock wheels you might not notice it since the wheel specs are normal. With your current setup you will most definitely notice it since the wheels are pretty aggressive.
From your pics you have posted it does look like the front is out quite a bit. Camber bolts will fix that problem.

hmm after i lowered my fit, i got an alignment and it was in spec. i installed my new wheels about a month after I dropped the car and got it aligned. i waited about 4-5 days i think after being lowered to align my car.
The point is not being in spec. If you want to run a low offset wheels you need to be slammed and add negative camber for it to look right. Personally I would add camber bolts and set them -1.75 since you have such a low offset.
That's some poke there.
You rub driving straight? Have you taken any turns at speed yet? Be careful so you don't wrinkle your fenders I have a feeling it will be a pretty serious ruckus when you hit a bump in a corner.
Just saying be careful until you get coils with stiffer springs and less travel, the STechs still compress a lot. I have STechs on +40 and I rub on turns with bumps but I'm usually going like 9/10ths on on/off ramps. I would never rub if I drove like a civilized human being. Then again I suppose you didn't go aggressive for performance but for looks and that's cool with me.
I like where the car is going and I'm sure with all your experience it will be the bees knees when it's done. Welcome aboard.

thank you. honestly this is the first time ive had rims with such low offset. i dont rub when im going straight. I dont rub when i enter or exit a driveway. i guess the only time i do rub is when im going over 40 or 45 and theres a dip. you are right about swithing to coils so there is less travel. hopefully in the next few months i can switch to coils. i just booked my wedding venue and spent a lot of money on it so the coils will have to wait. i really like how it looks. and yes i dont track the fit. when I get camber bolts and alignment i will add negative camber.
this is my 14th car in my 14 years of driving. ive had mostly Hondas and acuras with exceptions of vwr32, Hyundai gen coupe and sonata, wrx. as for Hondas and acuras I had 3 civic si ep3, fg2 fa5, accord, s2000, civic em1, integra da. im hoping to keep this one for a while though
given the mods that i have already done on the fit, I am worried that i dont really know what else to do to it, i dont really want to do any small engine mods because the power gain will not be worth it for me. I cant spend a few grand on supercharger due to venue costs, im running out of things to do to my car! any suggestions of what else I can do? ive searched the interwebs for a mugen front lip but cant seem to find one. open to ideas.
