New Member...2008 Fit..155,000Km
My wife,s 2008 Fit now has over 155K of trouble free driving on it. I change the oil and filter every 13K. I plan on keeping the vehicle for many more years. Should I be looking at valve adjustments soon? Spark plugs? What about the auto trans fluid? Etc Etc.

Hey I am not too far away. May be going through Orangeville next Sat the 16th on my way to Minden for the day.
This is a good site with lots of info. I am sure some of the GD people will chime in with tips for you.

Hey Martin... I'm just down the road from you in Bolton.
This site is quite informative, so snoop around for threads on questions you may have and don't be shy with the owner's manual (as much as people hate having to reference them).
I also recommend you build a relationship with a service guy and the parts counter at a Honda dealer, they're always great to answer questions and get deals on Honda parts for your FiT.
I would avoid the dealer nearest to us though, the worst time you'll ever have. I use Richmond Hill Honda for any warranty work I need done and Roadsport Honda for all my part purchases (it's closest to my work).
Welcome and good luck!

Brake Fluid should be changed every 2-3 years. Costs 5$ a bottle and you need two bottles.
Auto tranny fluid is every 30k miles I believe (I have a manual trans). It's a matter of draining out the bad and filling her up. Simple, like an oil change.
Coolant should be changed every 100k miles but my mechanic says every 2 years in Canada because of the harsh weather. Whatever, I say do it every 100k.
If the car doesn't have any stalling issues I wouldn't worry too much about the valves but next spring, I'd at least try and check 'em.
Dunno about the plugs. If it ain't broke, don't fix it I say. However, be sure to use the correct ngk plugs if you do change them.
Make sure the parking brake is adjusted. When the rear wheels are off the ground, they should spin unimpeded. When the brake is at one click, the rear wheels should be harder to spin (affected by the brake). The brake should fully be engaged between 6-10 clicks.
