Does anyone know:

1) How many computers (more extensive than what operates the radio, for instance) are in 2013 a non-navi Fit

2) What systems they manage

3) If they're common microprocessor systems, or custom chipsets

4) Where they live in the car?

Our '91 Accord DX appears to have one main computer, under the passenger seat. I have to imagine that a '13 Fit is a lot more computer intensive.

I can't find anything definitive, but this Controller Area Network (CAN) DTC code table gives some idea (from the 09 shop manual; not a lot has changed).



As for locations, the ECM is near the battery, and the rest are under the dash: MICU on the fuse block, SRS under the console, etc.

I imagine they're proprietary with some off the shelf chips but I really have no idea.
