dead turn signals, flashers, hazards

Got in the car yesterday and everything was dead. Replaced the turn signal fuse and still nothing. I saw a thread somewhere that the turn signals run through the hazard switch so that might be the best place to start. Any ideas?

Everything? Do you have 12v anywhere? Fuses would be last thing I'd check unless only that circuit.

I don't know much about 12v, but I have an aftermarket remote start installed. Are either of those 12v? Both are working fine.

You need a test light or multimeter. At least you know your battery works, since car will start. Aftermarket remote starter may be wired directly to battery on it's own circuit. If nothing else works, I'd start at the main battery connection and work out (including ground).

Try just disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes (have your radio code handy). This should allow the micu to reset (controls just about everything other than drive train.

Tried the turn signals before I disconnected the battery, no luck. Pulled the car in the garage, tried them again, and they worked. Disconnected and reconnected the battery, and the turn signals work...except when I push the hazard button. Then the turn signals stop working. The hazards worked once about the battery was reconnected, now they don't work again.

I'd be disconnecting anything aftermarket to see if that restores function.

Lots of circuits are made by grounding rather than energizing in cars. Even if the positive connection to the aftermarket starter is removed, other connections could still be providing confusing signals to the micu by grounding certain circuits.

If it's still under warranty you'll want to do that anyway before taking it in to Honda.
