3rd brake light strobe module
3rd brake light strobe module
Thinking about doing a brake strobe module on my '09 Fit for better visibility. The 3rd brake ass'y uses LED's so the effect should be really eye-catching. Came across this flasher module:
Brake Light Strobe Module | Strobe Controllers | Super Bright LEDs
From the video it pulses 4x fast, 4x slower then solid. Can't beat the price, and it appears it should fit within the rear hatch panel (can anyone verify there would be room for this?). Have to check local law first (I'm in Florida) but hopefully something safer like this would certainly be legal.

Strobed red lights are illegal in most states, I believe, with the exception of emergency vehicles and school busses and such. Definitely check your local laws before getting the module, and (assuming it's legal in Florida) maybe consider putting in a switch to bypass for whenever you travel out of state.
(Technically, replacing or altering your car's brake/signal/tail/head lights with anything that is not DOT certified is probably illegal, but it's doubtful that you'd get your chops busted for e.g. a moderately brighter brake light.)
