I personally liked the ride on the Eibachs. I'm sure with any stiffer setup there will be some "choppiness" unfortunately I'll be reverting back to stock, 60k miles on the Eibachs and it's time for new shocks.

I agree, I like the ride of the Eibachs too. I'm still unsure what the definition of "choppy" is. If it's related to being on a boat with "choppy" waters... I can't say I've experienced anything like that.

I do think they unload too quickly coming out of a turn with stock struts, a little unsettling.

60k is about right for struts. It's a misconception that they last longer. They are a wear item. The OEM springs just mask the ride when the struts are worn, they don't allow the struts to last any longer. The strut doesn't have to be blown (leaking) to need replacement. There are valves in the strut that wear out, that need replacement.

Any idea as to how to replace those valves? I wouldnt know where to buy them and Fit diagrams dont show any part number to buy.

You can't, the shock is a sealed unit. You have to buy all new struts.

I say stick with the Eibachs if you really like them, unless you really have your heart set on the OEM.

The spring compressor is easier to use on the Eibachs, rather than the OEM. Because the Eibach's unloaded spring height is shorter, it only takes a few good cranks to unload the strut top.

"all that time" Lol. I have done so many (r&r struts) I could have them installed in less than an hour.

Where you located? I'm in the San Fernando valley. I'm interested in the springs.
