Hankook Ventus V2 Concept H437 Tires

This is a quick user review of the Hankook Ventus V2 Concept H437 tires in Fit Sport OEM 185/55/16 size. I have 8000 miles on the tires on my '09 Fit Sport. So far, no complaints but one possible caution about MPG. I had the tires installed in October, just as colder weather was starting, and my MPG appears to have gotten worse. However, this is my Fit's first winter of regular driving (I had a winter car before), so the MPG drop might just be due to temperature and more idling which I hadn't experienced before.

Other impressions of the tires:
  • They are wearing well, and evenly (rotated once so far)
  • I don't drive aggressively, so for my use they handle fine, ride smooth, etc.
  • They seem a little noisy at low speeds, but I don't notice anything at highway speed, maybe due to other car noises.
  • I haven't felt any issues driving in rain, expected since they are still pretty new and should shed water well.
  • They do fine in snow. My car pulled right through some 6-8 inch un-plowed snow on my street this morning. They're not snow tires, but seem as good as any other all season tires I've experienced.
These tires were pretty cheap to purchase: $245.40 including shipping/tax from Discount Tire Direct (no rebate but during a promotion), plus $16.50 installation per tire at a local shop I trust. Overall, I'm happy with the tires, unless my MPG doesn't improve when the weather warms up.

I have about 12K miles on my Hankooks over the past year on my '09 Sport AT. I am quite happy with them so far. They are been very grippy in the wet.
