You sure about that? General consensus is TW and MR are single stage paints, at least the older ones 07-10 but I think they changed process later for MR.

Just an example but stuff like that is all over the web.

There always seems to be an issue with the Honda paint. How often do you wax your Fit? I have been showing mine for a few years and it gets clayed in the spring and waxed several times during the summer. I would push the issue with Honda since it surely should not be doing this. My 2007 just has rock chips but nothing strange going on with the paint yet! Of course I've seem some older MR Fits that look more pink than red.

Weird thing, though; when I took it in for them to check out the paint problems the service manager accused me of having the roof painted, because it isn't faded at all and he said it was obvious from the way the clear coat looked on the front lip of the roof

I have never had any paint work done on the car and when I asked him how that could have happened, he said "I don't know, it's your car."

It's difficult to get pictures of the problem. It almost looks like a frost on the places where it occurs. I may try to take some pics tomorrow when it's light out.
Possibly could've been a dealer respray or a shipper respray if any damage occurred on the lot or in transit. I worked in all aspects of the auto industry it happens. I have body shops that do same day service so if you drop off a car in the morning ... it's damaged sometime in the morning ... by the afternoon when you would come back it was all fixed and not a soul knows.
