Reoccuring Rock issue upper control arm/strut rear

Hello All,
We purchased our Fit last May. It was our first new car purchase and we could not be happier.

Back in August I started to hear a Bonk/Thud noise whenever going over large bumps at slow or fast speeds. Sometimes even on extreme corners like going around a jug handle or an off ramp. One of the times when entering a parking lot it went off with a bang on a gong and we knew something was wrong for sure. We took her in right away and explained the noise as best we could. The dealership was able to reproduce the noise and found a quarter sized rock was in the upper control arm strut area in the rear. No damage was done. They even gave us the rock on the repair papers. -_-

I have noticed that our little fit does indeed like to collect rocks. I find them all the time in the back wheel well.

Anyway, the noise is back just started maybe a month ago it has been pretty busy for us so before I take her in again I wanted to see if anyone else has had this same issue. I searched around online looking for similar frequent rock collectors, nothing as specific as what I described with the bonk noise.

I want to possibly find a permanent solution to this. Or is it just a freak occurrence?

Here is the answer to a question I know will be asked:
Do I drive on gravel roads a lot?
No I don't. Our old house did have a gravel driveway. That could have been the cause of the original rock, but this new rock or whatever it is happened months after we moved from there. Now I do live in NJ and our roads are terrible. Where I live there is a main street and the last few snow storms tore them up so bad I actually had to avoid using them to get to the PO (yes it was really that bad...like 30 feet of landmines)

My other concern is should I be asking the dealer why this is happening repeatedly? Should I be concerned for the vehicle and ask if this happens a lot to other Fits of my gen? I know it is only the 2nd time, but in my line of work...if something happens once its a fluke...it is happens twice it is a problem.

I also want something like this addressed before the dealer stops caring about there new car buyer (yeah I know that happens when you drive off the lot -_-)

Any help is greatly appreciated,
-Wooley
