Lower engine cover/splash shield

Does anyone know part numbers or have pics of a cover for the bottom of the engine. I know there has been some info on here before. I do see mounting points where a center cover should go.

Do they come standard in certain markets?

The Fit is so low I would rather have a cover to help glide over anything if I ever had the misfortune of being in that situation. Before anyone tells me it wont stop a hard impact, I get that. It will help "glide" over something that may crack the oil pan at the expense of the cover. I have changed a ton of VW bug oil pans on vehicle where the lower engine cover gets ripped off and the customer never replaced it so I know its may help as a one time use protection in some situations.

I could also make one out of aluminum if I cant find one premade and would like to see pics of any custom ones any of you have made here before.

Thanks!

So nobody out there can offer any info on the piece that should fit into the center of the stock lower engine cover?

If you look at it there are factory holes for mounting something there. I was hoping somebody out there knows what piece foes there.

I believe the CR-Z piece works, but don't quote me on that. Just go to one of the Honda parts places online and look up the CR-Z and then find the part.

I have a $45 CR-Z plastic lower engine cover in my car to smooth out the airflow. You will need to drill several holes on the engine cover for the installation. There is the Beatrush aluminum under panel for $250. IMO both these engine cover doesn't offer much for oil pan protection. It is not skid plate.

I had the same question

So I recently bought a 2010 GE8 RS 6MT and while changing fluids on a lift my buddy mentioned the splash guard was missing. I thought it was odd cause I own another 2010 GE8 RS CVT and knew it didn’t have one. I watched a few videos of people doing oil changes and no one had one. Went to the junk yard and looked at 4 different GE6, none had one. Must be an optional part. Either way here is the part number: 74111-TM8-A00
