Dirtbikes fit in Fits
Hey I just wanted to let the internet know that a full size motocross bike fits into a 2012 Honda Fit. I couldn't put a hitch on because it would void the warranty so I took some measurements and worked it out. I slide a 2010 YZ125 in regularly and it only takes two people about five minutes. It has to go in sideways and the front end sticks out of the back but it still allows for two people to sit comfortably in the front seat. Any kids dirt bike up to a KLX110 with standard suspension fits into a Fit standing up with the handlebars folded down. It rolls right in and with the larger side folded down you can still let the kid sit in the back seat. When I figure out how ill post pictures of my typical set up.

I have logged nearly 15K miles pulling a trailer with my Fit. 95% of those miles hauling bikes. Get a lightweight trailer and you'll have no issues even at freeway speeds. I could count on both hands the number of times I needed to downshift into 4th gear. I get 32mpg with trailer empty and average 27mpg loaded with two big dual sport bikes and gear. Slightly better when I haul only a single MX bike.

I know this thread is a few months old, but I'd like to see if anyone has pics of dirt bikes fitting in their Fits- along with what kind of bike it is (and the seat/handlebar height if possible).
I've got a 2011 sport that I'm looking to use to haul around a new toy, either an 85 or possibly a 125 if I can get one that fits. Not interested in a trailer, so it would be in the car with back seats down flat.
Also, this question is more geared towards dirt bike people, but what are the pros and con's of transporting a bike sideways (laying down)? I could get a lot more bike in the car, but I'd rather not have carb issues or other problems because of that.
