Center console cup holder light - wire tapping?

Hey all,

I've seen some great mods on here where folks either installed LED bulbs to illuminate the center console (where no bulbs existed on earlier GE8 models) or otherwise changed out the weak stock bulb for a brighter LED (for newer models that come with that bulb placement option).

BUT... has anyone outright removed the stock bulb and tapped into those wire leads to power anything else? I'm thinking of an LED strip that I could control via a switch. I don't believe it would overload that circuit, but I figure I'd check since you folks have been really helpful with other questions.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I did see that thread as well as a few others so I assume it's possible to tap into that lead. I was just wondering if anyone had. There is a lot of space on the front of that panel for a series of rocker switches, etc.
