Window Tinting and Battery tip

Thought I would pass along a tip that happened to me a few years back when our 2009 Fit windows were tinted. As you probably know, when a professional applies tint to car windows, he (or she) will want the windows to be operational during the application. If you haven’t seen the process, you can find it out on YouTube. As a result the ignition of the vehicle will be turned on and headlights will run. When I mentioned my concern to the installer about the battery, he applied the parking brake, and then turned the ignition on...which resulted in the head lights being off. I didn’t know about that configuration and he mentioned that this was something that was more applicable to older model vehicles, and he was somewhat surprised that it worked with the Fit. Anyway, I wanted to pass this tip on to others that may get their windows tinted.
