Reality Check Me On Engine Noise

My '13 Fit is about the loudest car I can recall ever owning. The noise is top-end noise, and I would say that, barring some mechanical part that I am unfamiliar with, it is either injector noise or valve noise. While I hate to waste a day, I'm thinking of taking it in to the dealer to at least get this on the record. By the way, the car has 7,500 mi., runs great, no issues.

My question to you all is this: Are these engines normally a bit noisy? This seems noisier than my '08 Fit.

Thanks.

P.S. My instinct s telling me that it's normal noise. Loud, but normal.

I have a '13 also and I notice the engine noise gets a little loud higher rpms. However its really only noticeable in the car, outside its not loud at all. It kind of has an intake noise, but I am sure its supposed to be like that...maybe its "sporty."

Mine is extremely silent idling; silent riding until 130 Km/h and rather loud above this speed.
I am satisfied; my previous Ford made more noise.
