Build it... and give it to me! I'll even pay for your spark plugs!

Excellent progress and work, J series is definitely something not seen and done everyday for the Honda Fit. Can't wait for updates.

I wish I knew how to subscribe to a thread but I want video when you are done!

And thank you for making me feel like a peon after feeling accomplished for having tinted my windows and adding visors!

PinkBatman,

Since you've done swaps before, what is your projected timeline to completion? Also, will you be taking this to a dragstrip to get any 1/4 mile information? I'm particularly interested in your trap speed. Thanks for any feedback.

I take it that this site is you --> Prank Parts

Timeline really comes down to the wiring, I finally tracked down the ecu pilots for this car and it looks pretty similar to a civic so it should be pretty easy. I see that k swap guys are running civic axles, so that should save lots of time over getting them custom.

Quarter mile should be about 12.4 @ 109 ish on the coast. Little slower here at our elevation. i will definitely take it to the track though.

And yes. That's my website. :thumbups:

If you go to the top of the thread, under thread tools, there is a subscribe link. Also check your settings, otherwise you will get an email anytime someone replies with a comment.:thumbups:

Thank you, sir.

Yes this was made a sticky 😄

FittinglyFittedFit 03-07-2015 09:46 PM

This is awesome! Sleeper status.
Can't wait to see the results!
Amazing what experience and a shop can do.
Sigh and here I am trying to decide on a measly metal pipe for a exhaust.... ;(
Good luck to you sir!

This reminds me of Courtenay Sport in the UK back in the 90s dropping the GM V6 into a Vauxhall Corsa.

Now memory must be failing me. I remember seeing it in a magazine, even down to the detail that they had to use a radiator from a diesel Corsa because it was smaller, but I can't find a trace of Courtenay having done it. But those 3.0l GM blocks now turn up in Corsas all the time.

Fits are way more rigid than the old Corsa ever was. This thing is going to be awesome. :)

OMG, I love this! I have always joked about buying a 2nd Gen Fit and putting a J into for my daily. I am really looking forward to seeing the progress and updates on this build

Vilot 03-12-2015 03:45 PM

Amazing! Best of luck with the build!

slimchriz 03-13-2015 12:00 PM

That's how you start a thread!
I passed up reading this thread almost entirely, surely it was someone's ill conceived fantasy. Most defiantly this person likely didn't even know where to fill up the blinker fluid.

Oh it's stickied!, my bad it's obviously an advertisement... Everyone knows there are no mods on this forum.

Glad I was wrong :thumbups:, I'm sub'd!
Good luck with the build.

PinkBatman 03-13-2015 04:15 PM

Thanks for all the props guys!

I really wanted to start a thread first that went something like

Hello guys, I want to put a v6 into my Honda fit, what tools do I need to buy?
As an account with 0 posts I'm sure it would have been hilarious.
