New progress this week. Not too much going on, been busy with other stuff.

This picture is going to make j32a.com pretty jelly

Got the panels lined up in an acceptable way, just had to get the 16" crescent on them hinges. You can see a little bend on the nose, not sure what's going on there, but I'm going to thrash on this car so it's not a big deal.

My old man had the clever idea on how to hold everything in place during assembly.

Nice fitment, will have to make note of that seller.
Glad the hood worked out .

Sweet Baby Jesus.

Here are the shifter cables from the Accord vs the Fit. The connectors are all the some, but the box in the Accord is quite a bit longer.

Simply cut and rewelded them to the correct length.

Here is the RSX pedal that I got, doesn't look like the best solution.

And some folks asked me about the ground clearance so here is a shot of that.

gd3~fit 03-27-2015 12:18 AM

that's great you're able to use the OEM style good and have just enough clearance -- total sleeper, lol better than an EG bubble with a cutout in the hood

WOW!!.
Goon job..

Finally some innovation coming around in the fit community. This is sweet to watch.

forget game of throne or walking dead this is the best thing to watch ever.

Thanks guys!

Since I'm an auto head, was wondering why you didn't go with that. I know most guys here probably would opt for a manual. Then I read about the issues with the autotrannys at that time. Even the new ones had issues. I became sad! I've always been the shift kit, high stall converter, tranny cooler type. Probably the 1%'er though. :o

This is coming along really nicely!

Excellent! Wedge that big bastard in there! What kinda pump are you going to use in the thank? Just a pump swap and go from there?

Standard Walbro 255 will be more than enough to run this beast. That's what we run in our Civics, I was thinking about trying the AEM or Grams pump too just to switch it up.

My original plan was to swap the entire drivetrain from a wrecked TL I own.

After seeing the car I fell in love with the chassis and decided to make it more of a strip and street car than a DD.

I am SERIOUSLY thinking about getting another Fit now to drop that auto in to replace my current DD. I drive an 06 Equinox now and am lucky to get 21mph on the highway. I'm sure that the second jFit would be able to beat that.

Well....if you make a PinkBatman #003 version, I'll start saving up for it right now. Same engine you have now, with an auto with the old school honda AWD. Yes, I'd take out a loan for it and sell both my Subarus for that one. I'm dead serious! Couldn't imagine a comptech supercharger on that one.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Sheesh...I can't stop reading this thread.

I have an idea!

Once you're done with this build, take it to the dealership requesting an oil change or some other odd ball service and just film the mechanic's face when he pops the hood!

:D:rotfl::wavey:

Hahaha. I like the way you think. I could probably even get my 70 year old Grandmother to take it in and say she just bought it from someone else. :thumbups:

Had to get another project on the lift so she got set back down and slid into a temporary home.

How is the swap going? Make any progress?

mike410b 04-20-2015 05:08 PM

Why the base bumper rather than the Sport bumper?

Nothing new, some other projects have been moved up including the RALLY ACCORD!

No reason other than cost. It was about $80 cheaper.
