New progress this week. Not too much going on, been busy with other stuff.
This picture is going to make j32a.com pretty jelly https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8639/...7ccff580_b.jpg Got the panels lined up in an acceptable way, just had to get the 16" crescent on them hinges. You can see a little bend on the nose, not sure what's going on there, but I'm going to thrash on this car so it's not a big deal. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7629/...cd7411d1_b.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8705/...8dfc2204_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7645/...924fb63b_b.jpg My old man had the clever idea on how to hold everything in place during assembly. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8663/...e2fdb13c_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7283/...edcf91a4_b.jpg |

Here are the shifter cables from the Accord vs the Fit. The connectors are all the some, but the box in the Accord is quite a bit longer.

that's great you're able to use the OEM style good and have just enough clearance -- total sleeper, lol better than an EG bubble with a cutout in the hood

WOW!!.
Goon job.. :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowd own::bowdown: |
Finally some innovation coming around in the fit community. This is sweet to watch.
|
forget game of throne or walking dead this is the best thing to watch ever.

Thanks guys!

Since I'm an auto head, was wondering why you didn't go with that. I know most guys here probably would opt for a manual. Then I read about the issues with the autotrannys at that time. Even the new ones had issues. I became sad! I've always been the shift kit, high stall converter, tranny cooler type. Probably the 1%'er though. :o
This is coming along really nicely! |
Excellent! Wedge that big bastard in there! What kinda pump are you going to use in the thank? Just a pump swap and go from there?

-bix Standard Walbro 255 will be more than enough to run this beast. That's what we run in our Civics, I was thinking about trying the AEM or Grams pump too just to switch it up. "That's whut she said joke..."

This is coming along really nicely! https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5485/...7f20778c_b.jpg After seeing the car I fell in love with the chassis and decided to make it more of a strip and street car than a DD. I am SERIOUSLY thinking about getting another Fit now to drop that auto in to replace my current DD. I drive an 06 Equinox now and am lucky to get 21mph on the highway. I'm sure that the second jFit would be able to beat that. |

My original plan was to swap the entire drivetrain from a wrecked TL I own.

I have an idea!
Once you're done with this build, take it to the dealership requesting an oil change or some other odd ball service and just film the mechanic's face when he pops the hood! :D:rotfl::wavey: |

Had to get another project on the lift so she got set back down and slid into a temporary home.

How is the swap going? Make any progress?
|
Why the base bumper rather than the Sport bumper?
