AMPG stuck

My 2012 Fit Sport has the average miles per gallon gage frozen at 29mpg. Even letting the car run down to only a couple of gallons in the tank and refilling it doesn't reset the gage. It's been like this for several weeks and never changes. Any idea's how to get it working properly again?

It's tied to the trip odometer—reset that and the average display resets. (It shows you the average milage over the distance of the current trip, however long that is.) Filling the gas tank has no direct effect on either one.

I'll give that a try.
