2009 power issue
Hi all,
Just bought a 2009 Honda Fit LX used with 114k on it and I'm having some issue that I'm hoping you all could shed some light on.
I had noticed last week that a couple of times that I started it there was a hesitation that concerned me a little. When I went to start it on Thursday morning the battery was dead.
I had CAA come out on the weekend and check it out for me, they jumped it and it started fine and they recommended that I grab a new battery.
I got a new battery and put it in, only to have it die on me after about an hour and a half of driving around.
Took it to a shop and the mechanic tested the battery and said it was good and that it was getting a charge from the alternator.
When I got back home, I was circling my parking garage to get to my spot and I noticed that my lights were dimming and my power steering was kicking out while I was making turns, to the point that it almost died on me again. Got in my spot, and started playing around with my accessories and spinning me wheel back and forth and noticed that it was sucking power and all of my interior lights were dimming... Which made me put two and two together that when it died on me earlier in the day I was making a u-turn and had my wheel cranked all the way...
Any thoughts on what could be causing this? It sounds almost like there's something limiting the power coming from the battery, or that something is draining it more than it should be.
I'm not a car guy, so sorry for any lack of detail in my explanation...
Thoughts?

Have you checked the leads connecting to the battery for corrosion? I had a similar issue in my 2007 Toyota Yaris after a panel under my windshield got somehow misaligned during an oil change. A trickle of rainwater had rusted my leads a little, but a spritz of battery lead cleaner fixed it.

I'm not getting a battery light and the mechanic mentioned that the battery was getting a charge while the car was running so I don't think it's an alternator issue.
As for the leads, one of them does have a bit of corrosion which I will be cleaning up this evening. It didn't seem like it was bad enough to cause such an issue but it very well could be.

When my 09 Fit sport had similar power issues: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...gives-out.html
The fix turned out to be replacing part 13 and 15 below (the negative battery cable and the bolt). Parts 32600-TK6-000 and 90149-SE0-003
