I'd like your opinion on my external plans on my 13' Sport

Now i wanna be clear that im a big boy not looking for people decide for me what to do to my car. I'm just sharing what i WILL be doing to my car whether you like it or not... LOL.

I mod my cars exterior pieces to match each other like if it were me dressing myself for work. Everything blends one another on me my shoes go with the suit (the cars paint color) and other things. So here's my plan.

My car is Tefetta White...

Do OEM body colored body side moldings.

I plan on doing JDM H's front/back, RS badge, as well as painting front calipers red

example wheel ill do 17"...

Covering the roof inside of the rain gutters with black vinyl.

The wheels will be one that are flat black with red edge ill lower with springs that drop 1 to 1.5" tops.

This 09 is similar to my idea...

Like your plans. I would stay with a 16" wheel though for a bit more sidewall to soften the ride a bit. It will be stiffer once lowered.

Maybe add a grill? I like my dealer option one.

I'm always a plus 1in size guy. dropping 1 inch wont cause rubbing. the least i can go is 1.7 because it'll make transferring from my wheelchair super strenuous. Ive never done a race spring on my last 13 hondas. I always do sport. Rubbing too is about offset as much as it is the drop. I forgot the to add the grill in the list of oem mods. Thank you. The car i posted is a current member here.

Des,

are you thinking of doing the "blackout" to the front lower grill like on Black3SR's car in addition to the other member's ride? It does a nice job of carrying the "black on white" theme as well. I'm assuming anything black will be a flat black color? (and not mixing gloss in anywhere) I like the red accents too.

On a side note/unrelated question (other than the fact you mention it above and in your sig.) I'm curious (and would like to get a better understanding) about the wheelchair and how you navigate in/out of the FIT. Sig says you have hand controls for driving so that makes sense but I'm picturing the process for getting in/out of the fit and storing the chair. How does the chair go with you? (I'm assuming it's one of the smaller chairs, does it ride in the passenger seat, back seat's folded up - you need assistance with this?)

Best of luck with the fit and keep us updated on what you do (obviously Pics are necessary).

In my opinion it would look great. Love the black rims on the white fit. The red edge will match the badge. I want to do something similar but I'm going with stock sport body and want to do the hood, roof & hatch black.
I say go for it.

Yes i'm doing the bumper mod. I was just wondering why u fail to paint yours to the very edge...? As for transferring to the car. Ive been asked since last winter. I'll do it tomorrow at the airport. Ill have my flight student video me getting in/out the car. I go to rehab hospital to show patients who will be strong enough to manage their chair all day.

I think thats a little overboard painting hood/hatch black in the name of resale value. Now if you do carbon fiber hood/hatch like the aftermarket offered for 92-95 EG hatch in the name of less weight, awesome. But you don't paint CJ unless its on a color that doesnt really contrast with. You do know the roof is vinyl right? Companies do this in the name of blending the sun roof or glass panel. I plane (thinking too much about my profession) on doing a small sunroof to open up the interior that much more.

I'll post the vids tonight.

i know it's vinyl. was leaning toward pant because i need some dents pulled on the hatch and it will need painting. I was actually tossing around the ideas of plasti dip or vinyl. my thought was to tint the window and carry the black grill through the hood over the roof and gate.Biggest racing stripe ever, overboard is kinda the idea. I would love a carbon fiber hatch but have yet to find one for a 13 and I would like to keep it black and white. In the end I'll do what I want as will you. From the sound of it your ride will look pretty nice.

Some 100+ weather and severe storms kept me from taking video of my transfers. I wont post them in this thread but in a new ad. Titled Video of my transfer in/out my FIT. I'll link this thread though.
