New tires, much better.

I was not impressed with the Dunlops that were on my 2013 Fit. I ordered from Amazon, the Hankook Ventus V2. 185 55R16
Their max pressure indicated was 51 psi. The sticker on the Fit door says to run the car at 33 psi. I struck a medium and put 40 psi. I love the way these tires handle and feel. They have a good rating, reviews are good, for the most part....so we'll see.
Dunlops were terrible, stiff, no grip, no responsiveness.

I'll agree about the dunlops. In cleveland in the snow & rain I would slip more than grip. Felt like i was boating. New tires was the best upgrade I made.

40 psi is not 'striking a medium.' 33 is what Honda's recommending for the car regardless of tires. The max tire pressure is a maximum, period, not what's anywhere near best or safest for the car.

I run 40psi too...33psi make the front tires look like flat
at 40psi on highway soeek 70-80mph, tire pressure increases to 43...and thats still a lot under 51 max

Sometimes radials look flat at proper inflation pressure, that's one reason there's TPMS.

At 33psi, in/out edge on the tire wears more and gets less mpg....around 40psi, it wears evenly and handles much better..

Mostly for ex bmws that has 50/50 weight keep psi all same for all tires.
most fwd, has 60/40 split, need higher psi on front tires.

Tpms is there to warn the driver @extremely low pressure

Running them that high is just gonna cause over inflation wear. Which is down the middle of the tire. So just stick to 33-35 psi(cold pressure) or go through tires way faster...
