Very nice!! I can see the rear becoming extremely tossable with those spring rates and Progress RSB.

By the way do you have a picture of the rear suspension with the GC kit at full droop?

How is the ride? I kinda agree I kinda agree with eternal. The spring rates seem a little low. Not sure if there is a difference between a linear and progressive spring rate. Do you also have a pic of the front strut with the coilover installed?

Ill get a photo this weekend when I lower the car 1/4" for autocross. but i can tell you now the springs are not captive if thats what you want to see. I'm hoping i will be competitive with Hootie in autocross this time, last time he whipped me by 4 seconds!. i'd trade my setup for those teins you got there! haha

its a rough ride by my standards. i clearly need stiffer dampers. might get some koni yellows for the back eventually to see if that helps. i have to test this weekend to see if the spring rates are ok for my driving... so far so good. roll seems significantly decreased which was my main problem. i don't have a pic of the strut as i put it in. i do have a pic of the strut put together slightly wrong. ill see if i can retrieve that pic and post for discussion.

pic as promised for discussion.

now lets discuss:
this is wrong because the mud sleeve is smashed against the spring, and the oem spring top seat should be removed (for ground controls). i removed both the mud sleeve and spring top seat and installed it like that. thanks to Kelan (Hootie) for pointing me to look at his tokico/ground controls to help me get mine right. mine basically looked like Hooties' when i reinstalled them in my car.

Hooties' ground controls/tokicos are posted here:

check his thread for lots of other goodies too. his thread link is on his sig, and he posted something on my page 1

That looks way off. What did the install instructions show. Hotties looked good except for the bump stop was upside down.

actually you can't see Hooties bump stops lol. i think he removed them entirely!?

lol, he's a Honda Tech so Im certain he knows what he's doing. but yeah i don't even see the bumpstops

i cut off 1.5" from my bumpstops up front. they are hidden behind the mudguard in the pic.

tomorrow I'll go photo my fronts as installed where the bumpstops can be clearly seen, and post back

Nope, I cut it to the very last rib of the bump stop... So I literally have about a 1 inch bump stop. If you take a gander at the upper strut in the box, you'll see my stubby bump stop in the center of the spring.

Front strut pic.

So it turns out that I only have about 1/2" of travel before I'm on the bump stop.

i hadn't noticed hitting the bump stops but i must be hitting them often. This would help to explain my bumpy ass ride. I may need to cut more of the bumpstop off. I haven't cut any of the rear bumpstops at all.

Well I autocross tomorrow, so that will tell me a lot about what is going on. i have a feeling I'm already deep into the territory of needing the koni streets or yellows

Wow. I would define to cut one more rib off the bump stop. Any noise or movement coming from the sleeve at full extension

Yeah... I definitely would have cut those a third to a half off at LEAST on the bump stops.

leather steering wheel wrap

collared shift knob with suede boot

also removed my rear spoiler cuz it looks cleaner without it (parked outside because it might flood in houston --might have to take to the streets!)

How are the ground controls for autocross? You feel the spring rates are adequate?

well, i didn't do as well as the first time, but back then i was on 205/40/17's and tires make more difference than springs. but i feel good about the springs and spring rates. i don't think they go that well with stock struts and shocks though. its pretty rough for a daily driver

this week i cut off 3/4" of front bumpstop,
and about 2.5" of rear bumpstop,

and now my ride is a hell of a lot smoother. i can't believe i was basically running around town sitting on my bumpstops in both the front and the back ---for so long!

nah i could go 1/2" more in back, and 3/4" more in front.

but then id rub up front a lil. also id hit the bupstops too much. happy with the current setup
I'm getting 40mpg too. i think being dropped helps

if i went all the way lower, i couldnt get my jack under there!

Hey hey... Next autocross is on the 21th.

Do you think you'll be able to make it?
